All of our rooms (king, queen, twin and suites) have private baths with luxurious private amenities and a hair dryer. They are individually decorated with antiques and reproduction furniture, nostalgia pieces, and special touches. Each guest room is air-conditioned for our guests' summer comfort. For guests who need to stay in touch with the "outside world," The Rookwood Inn has free WiFi access throughout the building as well as telephones in each guest room.

The Rookwood Suite (Room 22) is a large two and a half room ground floor suite ideal for families or couples who want extra space and privacy. Enter the large fireplaced living room through a private entrance at the side of the house. The room is decorated in soothing blues and tans and includes two sofas and comfortable chairs. Off the living room you find a cozy alcove which houses a double sofa sleeper and bay window. To the other side of the living room is the bedroom with a king sized bed (can be separated into twins if you prefer) that boasts a headboard made from the sides of an antique pump organ Amy found in a second hand shop. The suite's large bathroom contains an antique clawfoot soaking tub and a separate tile shower. The Rookwood Suite has a television and telephone if you desire.


The Williams Suite (Room 17), named for the original tavern, is on the first floor in the oldest section of the house. Walk into a living room with a double sofa sleeper and two big comfortable wing back chairs. The bedroom has a king-sized brass bed (with the option of twins) and is filled with antiques. The large bathroom has a tub/shower combination. There's plenty of storage in the ample closets in the living room and bathroom. Walk through the bedroom door onto your own deck overlooking a pretty wooded area. The Williams Suite has a television and telephone, if you desire.

Trail's End (Room 18), also on the first floor, is a quiet, cozy room with a view of trees. This room can be made up as a king or twin beds with handmade quilts. The room has a private bathroom with shower.


 

ON THE SECOND FLOOR:

Bouquet (Room 1), in the front of the house, is a bedroom with big flourishes of flowers, a queen sized bed, Gothic Revival bedroom set, antique walnut wardrobe, romantic fireplace and bathroom with shower.


 

Berkshire View (Room 2), This large, sunny room has a four-poster queen bed and lots of windows. Its turreted sitting area has a wing back chair, antique English armoire. and a love seat that opens to reveal a single sofa bed. Enjoy fresh air and cool breezes from your private screened-in porch. The private bathroom contains a shower.

 

Audubon (Room 3), boasts a great high 4-poster "rice" bed, antique love seat and Victorian chair. The bathroom, one of two original to the building, has an antique clawfoot tub with shower.

 

Summer Breeze (Room 4), is a very special room in all four seasons. This brass queen bedded room has a fireplace and its own screened porch. The bathroom, the second antique to the building, has an original clawfoot tub with shower.

 

Heirloom (Room 5), has a queen sized antique brass bed, two Victorian chairs and a Gothic Revival dresser. It has a private bathroom with shower.

 

Simplicity (Room 6), is our smallest fireplace room with a double bed. The room has antique night tables and dresser and two chairs. The private bathroom has a shower.

 

Hope's Room (Room 7), can be set up with twin beds or a king. Antique chairs and dresser complete this room named for one of the antique prints. The private bathroom has a shower.

 

Mrs.Quincy's Room (Room 8), is named for one of the most influential women in the history of Lenox, Deborah Quincy. This room has a romantic queen canopy bed from which the fireplace is in full view. The room has a private bathroom with shower.

 

Victorian Dream (Room 19), is often called the honeymoon suite because it is so romantic. A high four-poster queen-sized oak bed commands a great view of the corner fireplace. A fainting couch and comfortable chairs complete the ambiance. The turret bathroom contains an antique soaking tub and a separate tile shower.

 

Lady Harrison's Suite (Room 20), is decorated with pink bows and flowers creating an indoor romance garden. A king size brass bed, a collection of oak pieces, dressing table complete the bedroom area. In front of the fireplace is an overstuffed love seat and chair. Lady Harrison's Suite has a full bath with tub and shower. The option of twin beds is available.

 

Colonel's Choice (Room 21), is decorated in bold color. Asian artifacts complement the red walls and quilt on the king sized brass bed. The sofa in front of the fireplace opens to reveal a twin size sofa bed. This room has a full bath with a tub and shower. If you wish, twin beds may be set up.

 

ON THE THIRD FLOOR:

Silhouette (Room 9), is a perfect room for a family. It has a beautifully carved English antique headboard and footboard on the queen-size bed, a twin bed and large armoire. The private bathroom contains a shower. The walls are decorated with silhouettes of the owners' family members.


 

The Aerie (Room 10) is a romantic "garret room" with an intricately carved British antique double bed. Two wing back chairs in the dormer make a very cozy sitting area with views of the Berkshire Hills. This room has a private bathroom with shower.

Revels Retreat (Room 11) is the two-level turret suite. On the lower level is a queen bedded room and bath with shower. Walk up four stairs to the turret and you'll find a single day bed and rocker. Enjoy the sunrise and sunset from the windows which surround the turret on three sides. Both the bedroom & turret area have ceiling fans.


 


Third Floor Tavern Rooms
(12, 14, 15, 16)
are cozy queen bedded rooms each with a private bathroom with shower. Arbor has a canopy of roses and a skylight; Nantucket has white wicker furniture and a skylight; Patriot's Corner and Sunrise each have double exposure. All contain ceiling fans.
