Tanglewood announces 2006 Schedule Highlights

The Boston Symphony has released the highlights of their preliminary schedule for this summer. Highlights include the return to Tanglewood of BSO Conductor Emeritus Bernard Haitink for two opening week programs and Seiji Ozawa returning to conduct Mahler's Resurrection Symphony.

Every Saturday between July 8 and August 12 at 6 pm in Ozawa Hall there will be a one-hour performance of chamber music with TMC Fellows and guests.

Tickets go on sale to the public on February 12. Remember, RETURNING GUESTS HAVE PRIORITY RESERVATION STATUS UNTIL APRIL 1. Don't be disappointed, make your reservations early!

June 23 - June 25 Opening Chamber Music Weekend including a string quartet marathon, three 2- hour concerts of classic, romantic, and modern works from the string quartet literature; concerts of wind and brass chamber music; and a concert including premieres of mini-concertos for violin and piano by composers Donald Martino and Ron Ford.
