First Day of the Second Half of 2020 – Happy 4th of July
Today is the first day of the second half of 2020! I am not sure how I feel about it. I am happy to put a too quiet winter and awful four months of Corona-19 behind us. I hope we can also put injustice, racial violence, anti-semitism, and other forms of hatred in the past. This nation and the people of the world deserve so much better. I firmly believe we are made a better and richer society because of our differences – they strengthen us. I am saddened too by the horrendous impact Covid has had on our world . . . the huge loss of lives and suffering. I will be very happy when we can safely say it is behind us.
When you book a room and bring along friends and/or family who book a second room (or more) this summer, all of you get our winter rates!
This summer only we have reduced our normal three night minimums to two nights!
Because these are specials, they apply to new reservations only.
Here is this week’s Facebook Live. We are back on schedule with our Facebook Lives – Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m.
We are offering picnic lunches and dinners to go or to eat here on the lawn, on the porch, in your room or our dining room. Tables are appropriately socially and physically distanced.
As we enter into July and Independence Day let us celebrate each other and our differences! We welcome all people to The Rookwood Inn. The only caveat is that you are friendly and respectful to all of the others here.
Hope to see you soon! Masks donned! Hands washed! Ready for you!
